Shimon Peres lecture at Cornell on April 30 is canceled

The Shimon Peres lecture at Cornell University, scheduled for April 30, has been canceled.
The Cornell University Program Board, sponsor of the event, has been informed by Peres' speaking agency that the cancellation is due to political developments in Israel; a meeting of Peres' Labor Party has been scheduled in Israel for April 30.
Refunds for tickets will be provided, starting Wednesday, April 23, for credit card refunds and Friday, April 25, for cash refunds.
All refunds will be handled at the Willard Straight ticket office. Its hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 1; on May 2, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets purchased via MasterCard, VISA or Discover will be credited to the accounts. All others will be refunded in cash. All persons must present ticket, ID card and credit card (if applicable) for a refund.
After May 2, information on getting refunds will be available by calling the Willard Straight ticket office at 255-3430.
People who are unable to come in person to claim refunds may send their ticket, name, address, social security number, purchase location and credit card number (if applicable) to 523 Willard Straight Hall, Ithaca, NY 14853, ATTN: Refund.
