Loss of Chronicle calendar is a disappointment
To the editor:
I've tried to get used to your paper's changes over the last year or so, but there is less and less information in what used to be a terrific weekly. The latest disappointment is your "Things to Do" list and inclusion of URLs instead of a real calendar of events. For me, as an academically oriented staff member, that calendar used to be the single most useful compilation of goings-on at a campus well-known for its decentralization of information.
I used to look forward to the Chronicle every Thursday (and preferred that distribution day) and referred to it a few times in a week. The photo-laden paper that appears on Fridays isn't very useful and seems more of a PR piece of late.
