ITHACA, N.Y. -- Got mocha milk?
Get it Friday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cornell University's Appel Commons Courtyard on the university's North Campus. This will be the last stop for the national Milk Rules! Road Trip, sponsored by the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board and Dairy Management Inc.
Milk Rules! has been on the road since March -- from Akron, Ohio, to Wichita, Kan., and from San Francisco to Albany, N.Y. -- to urge young adults to swap sodas for milk in their diets. Participants of all ages have had their pictures taken wearing milk mustaches and have had the chance to appear in milk advertisements in Rolling Stone magazine. Participants also are eligible to win the chance to appear on the MTV show "TRL" with Carson Daly and introduce a music video.
This is the third visit to Cornell for the Milk Rules! milk-mustache crew. This year's event features a new flavor: Cornell's mocha milk. The Cornell Dairy began offering the chocolate milk flavored with coffee and brown sugar at the beginning of this semester. Event participants also will get a chance to sample Cornell's "clocktower" pumpkin ice cream, consisting of pumpkin ice cream flavored with chopped nuts and molasses.
