Cornell offers estate and gift taxation workshop in Syracuse, Batavia and Binghamton in August

ITHACA, N.Y. -- In-service tax workshops to review estate and gift tax reporting and management will be held in Syracuse, Batavia, and Binghamton in early August. Cornell University's Department of Applied Economics and Management is offering the workshops.
This workshop is designed for accountants, tax practitioners, consultants, attorneys and financial advisers. The topics include the mechanics of estate and gift tax law and accounting, an introduction to estate and gift taxation, gross estate, estate deductions, estate credits and valuations.
Robert E. Barnhill III, an attorney and certified public accountant, will teach the workshop. He has taught business, estate and retirement classes and he is an adjunct professor at Texas Tech University.
The workshop on Aug. 3 will be held at the Holiday Inn Liverpool in Syracuse; the workshop on Aug. 4 will be held at the Batavia Party House in Batavia; and the workshop on Aug. 5 will be held at the Holiday Inn Arena in Binghamton.
Advanced registration is required by July 24 and attendance is limited to the capacity of the meeting room at each location. The early registration fee (prior to July 25) is $150 and includes a comprehensive manual, a noon lunch and refreshments. Qualified participants will receive eight continuing-education credits.
