Apply now to serve on University Hearing and Review Boards
Integral to Cornell’s self-governance system, the University Hearing and Review Boards are made up of students, staff and faculty who serve on the panels that hear and review cases brought by the Office of the Judicial Administrator as part of the campus disciplinary process. These cases involve violations of the Campus Code of Conduct by members of the Cornell community.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to serve on the boards. Interested students and staff members should apply online by midnight on Monday, April 1, to be considered for the next academic year. Interested faculty members are asked to apply by contacting the Office of the Dean of Faculty at deanoffaculty@cornell.edu.
Anyone interested in becoming a candidate is asked to review the requirements and the application process, including the regular hearing times, as described on the UHRB website, before applying.
The Codes and Judicial Committee of the University Assembly will review applications, interview student and employee applicants, and make recommendations to the full UA, which will appoint candidates to the boards.
For more information, see the UHRB website or contact the Office of the Assemblies.
