Renowned string quartet to perform in Cornell Concert Series
Quartetto di Cremona will perform in the Cornell Concert Series on Thursday, March 2 at 8 p.m. in Bailey Hall on the Cornell campus. Their program will include works by famed Italian composers Boccherini, Puccini, Respighi and Verdi.
Hailing from Cremona, Italy, the birthplace of the violin, the foursome has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, South America and Asia, appeared at leading festivals, and performed regularly on radio and television broadcasts. Gramophone describes the group as “nothing less than life affirming…[their] breadth of sound and capriciousness combined with perfect tuning and ensemble has the players sounding absolutely of one voice.” The quartet celebrates its 22nd anniversary in the 2022–23 season.
Artist and program information, subscriptions, single tickets, and student memberships are available through the Concert Series website, cornellconcertseries.com.
Free evening parking is available at the Forest Home (37 Forest Home Drive) and Hoy garages. More information and campus maps can be found at www.transportation.cornell.edu and cornellconcertseries.com.
