The Thurston Avenue bridge spanning Fall Creek at the edge of Beebe Lake and the western end of Forest Home Drive on the Cornell University campus will be closed from 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 13, so that NYSEG can repair a leaking gas main. Utility crews will work around the clock and anticipate finishing the work on Sunday, July 15.

There will be excavations on both the north and south ends of the bridge, and Forest Home Drive will be closed to traffic from East Avenue to the Martha Van Rensselaer building. However, pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge and walk along Forest Home Drive.
