Cornell Dairy Bar to host Milk Mustache Day and golf tournament

Got game? The First Annual Cornell Dairy Open golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 9, at Cornell University's Robert Trent Jones Golf Course on Warren Road. It is sponsored by the university's Department of Food Science. Proceeds from the tournament will be used to establish the Cornell Dairy Equipment Fund.

Registration fee for the tournament is $125 per person for the captain-and-crew format, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart and a barbecue following the event. Players can register at the course beginning at noon. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Individuals without teams also can register.

On Friday, Aug. 10, the Cornell Dairy will host a "Chocolate Milk Mustache Day" from noon to 3 p.m. in front of the Dairy Bar on Tower Road. Get your picture taken wearing a chocolate, strawberry or white milk mustache and you will have the chance to appear in a milk advertisement in Inside Stuff, the National Basketball Association's official magazine, and a chance to attend the 2002 NBA All-Star Game. The Cornell Dairy also will be giving away samples of Cornell ice cream.
