ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell University, on a temporary basis, will be using a portion of Libe Slope on West Campus to allow for contractor parking for the West Campus Residential Initiative project.

The work on creating the temporary parking lot will begin this week and will be completed prior to the Aug. 22 arrival of students for the fall semester.

The entrance to the temporary lot will be on West Avenue. The lot will not disrupt major existing pedestrian pathways.

The area of Libe Slope used for the lot will be restored to its original condition, once contractor parking for the West Campus project is no longer needed.
