Cornell's agriculture, human ecology and labor relations colleges to hold information day for prospective transfer students Nov. 5

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell University's agriculture, human ecology and labor relations colleges will host an information day for prospective undergraduate transfer students on Friday, Nov. 5.

On Transfer Day, representatives from Cornell's colleges will discuss general academic information and transfer admissions policies. Students can attend a class, meet with faculty members, join currently enrolled students for lunch and talk with admissions staff.

A wide range of programs are offered. In the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, students can select from 22 majors that include programs such as animal sciences, applied economics and management, atmospheric science, biological sciences, communication, entomology, food science, international agriculture and rural development, landscape architecture, natural resources and plant science.

The College of Human Ecology's offerings include apparel design, apparel and textile management, biology and society, facility planning and management, fiber science, human biology, health and society, human development, human factors and ergonomics, interior design, nutritional sciences, and policy analysis and management.

The School of Industrial and Labor Relations offers programs in personnel and human resource studies, economics and social statistics, labor economics, organizational behavior, international and comparative labor relations, collective bargaining, labor law and labor movement.

Students interested in attending Transfer Day are required to pre-register by Nov. 3. Registration forms are available from two-year college counseling offices or from the state-assisted colleges of Cornell. The registration Web site is: http://transferday.cornell.edu/ . Information is being mailed to all two-year colleges in New York state.
