United Way contest will give winner a Cornell Store shopping spree

All contributors to the 2007 Cornell United Way campaign will compete for a series of prizes, including a two-minute shopping spree on the lower level of the Cornell Store.

The winner of the contest will be allowed to take home everything he or she can wear and carry out in the allotted time. Details of the contest, including a full list of prizes, will be sent to all United Way contributors in early April.

"This has been the most successful Cornell United Way campaign in history," said Stephen T. Golding, the university's Samuel W. Bodman Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and chair of this year's Cornell United Way campaign. "We wanted to create something that would reflect the excitement we have enjoyed during the past few months."

Contributions to the 2007 campaign will be accepted through March 31. New contributors will be eligible for the contest in addition to all those who have contributed since the campaign began in September. Donors can make contributions on the United Way Web site, http://www.cornell.edu/unitedway/, or by e-mail at ubsc@cornell.edu.
