Gail Finan '69 named director of dining and retail services

Gail Finan '69 has been named the new director of Cornell Dining and Retail Services, effective July 28.

Finan, a graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, has more than 30 years of dining experience in higher education; most recently, she was director of dining services at Bowling Green University for five years. She also has held various dining management positions at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania, and has owned and operated a restaurant in North Carolina.

"All of us in Campus Life are pleased to have Gail back at her alma mater to lead our dining and retail services," said LeNorman J. Strong, assistant vice president for student and academic services and director of Campus Life. "I am confident that her enthusiasm and experience will be great assets for Cornell Dining and Campus Life."

Finan is a past regional president of the National Association of College and University Food Service and has served on the board and various committees for the National Restaurant Association.

"I am very excited to 'come home again' and apply my experience to the Cornell environment," said Finan.
