President Obama nominates two Cornellians to top posts

Alan B. Krueger and Seth D. Harris, both from the ILR School's Class of 1983, have been nominated by President Barack Obama for key positions in his new administration.
Krueger has been nominated as assistant secretary for economic policy in the U.S. Treasury Department, and Harris has been nominated as deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
Krueger is a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton University; he is a former Labor Department chief economist. Harris is a professor at New York Law School, where he is director of its Labor and Employment Law Programs. He served as a senior adviser on policy, legal, management and strategy issues to two U.S. Labor Department secretaries.
