A memorial service will be held for former student Rion Wight on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in John Hartell Gallery in Sibley Hall. A reception in the Green Dragon on Sibley's lower level will follow the service.

Wight joined the undergraduate architecture program in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning in fall 2005 and had been on leave for the past two years. He died Oct. 28 in Cayuga County.

The memorial service has been arranged by Wight's friends and former classmates. His immediate family members will attend, and some of Wight's work in the architecture program will be on display.
