Caring Community forum to address long-term strategies for campus well-being
By Lauren Gold
Students, faculty and staff are invited to an open Caring Community forum Friday, April 30, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Malott Hall's Bache Auditorium.
The forum is an opportunity for the Cornell community to comment on the ongoing efforts to foster well-being across campus and to discuss potential long-term strategies for maintaining a supportive environment in a healthy academic and social culture.
Provost Kent Fuchs, Vice President for Student and Academic Services Susan Murphy and Dean of Faculty William Fry will take part in the discussion, which will be moderated by Dean of Students Kent Hubbell.
In a video address April 12, President David Skorton called on the campus community to "work with me and each other to move our university forward, toward a longer-term approach to improving our support of our over 20,000 students on this campus."
A team of administrators including Fuchs, Fry and Murphy are leading a review of campus support systems in response to Skorton's message.
