Cornell is listed among the nation’s greenest colleges – and cited for its active sustainability-minded student groups – in the Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges for 2010-11.
The guide, presented in partnership with the U.S. Green building Council, profiles colleges and universities with the most eco-friendly campuses. Cornell’s listing highlights the multidisciplinary Center for a Sustainable Future; campus recycling and transportation programs; student groups including Greeks Go Green, Kyoto NOW! and the Society for Natural Resources Conservation; LEED-certified buildings; and the university’s goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050.
