Library lauds top student employees

Cornell University Library honored its most outstanding student workers at the 17th annual Fuerst Awards April 13. Anne Kenney, the Carl A. Kroch University Librarian, praised the five seniors' effectiveness and innovation at a reception in Olin Library.

William F. Fuerst Jr. '39 donated funds for the awards, which, at $500 each, are the largest financial gifts for student workers.

Library staff members nominate winners, who are among the approximately 500 students working at the library -- the second-largest student employer on campus, after Cornell Dining Services.
