Alumnus, CEO of 33needs, to give Iscol public service talk

Josh Tetrick '04, CEO and founder of 33needs, a micro-credit Web platform that allows everyday people to invest in social enterprises around the globe, will deliver the 10th annual Iscol Family Program for Leadership Development in Public Service lecture Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Call Auditorium, Kennedy Hall.
In his talk, "Connect Your Future to Change," Tetrick will draw on his social entrepreneurial and public service experiences and his work in Africa, Argentina and elsewhere.
Tetrick, a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, also has led a United Nations business initiative in Kenya, worked for former President Bill Clinton and the president of Liberia, and taught street children as a Fulbright scholar in Nigeria.
The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Iscol Family Program for Leadership Development in Public Service, an interdisciplinary event sponsored by the College of Human Ecology and the Department of Human Development. The Iscol Family program is designed to inspire undergraduate students to become leaders in public service who will address intractable social problems such as hunger, poverty, ignorance, homelessness and violence.
