Assemblies Update, Week of April 2

Recruitment notice:

The University Assembly seeks applications for service on University Hearing and Review Boards, which review allegations of misconduct raised under the Campus Code of Conduct. To apply, visithttp://tinyurl.com/cr8ueo7. Applications must be received by 4 p.m., April 16.

Recent meetings:

  • EA: April 4: Conversation with President David Skorton and Vice President Mary Opperman.
  • SA: April 5.

Upcoming meetings:

  • GPSA: April 9, 5:30 p.m., Bache Auditorium, Malott Hall. Election of 2012-13 voting members, a resolution on updates to the GPSAFC Funding Guidelines, update from Olin Lecture ad-hoc committee and presentations by student-elected trustee candidates.
  • UA: April 10, 4:30 p.m., 316 Day Hall. Continue discussion of Resolution 7, regarding Campus Code of Conduct compliance with Title IX, which would transfer jurisdiction of Title IX offenses to procedures described in University Policy 6.4 in order to comply with the specifications of the April 4, 2011 "Dear Colleague" letter from the U.S. Department of Education.
  • SA: April 12, 4:45 p.m., 401 Physical Sciences.
  • EA: April 18, 12:15 p.m., 316 Day Hall. Voting for seven staff members to the EA and one staff member to the University Board of Trustees is April 16 to April 27.
