Assemblies Update, Week of Sept. 24

Recent meetings:

  • GPSA: Sept. 24. Presentations on graduate student mental health and Ithaca Campus Space Utilization Study. Passed resolutions on graduate student Cornell Dining meal plan (R4) and ad hoc Graduate Community Initiative Committee budget (R5) of $1,250, and amendments to the GPSAFC Funding Appeals Process (R6).
  • UA: Sept. 25. Presentation by Renee Alexander on diversity and inclusion initiatives. Presentation by Ted Dodds on the IT strategic plan.
  • SA: Sept. 27. Presentation by President David Skorton and Vice President Susan Murphy. Resolutions providing for the adoption of a gender inclusive housing policy, a diversity coalition, a vice president for diversity and a committee application requirement for all SA membership candidates.

  • EA: Oct. 3, 12:15 p.m., 401 Physical Sciences. Discussion with Paul Bursic, director of Benefit Services.
  • SA: Oct. 4, 4:45 p.m., Memorial Room, Willard Straight Hall.
  • GPSA: Oct. 15, 5:30 p.m., Bache Auditorium, Malott Hall. Presentation and discussion on graduate and professional student housing. Resolutions on Graduate and Professional Student Programming Board Charter edits and Big Red Barn smoking ban.
  • UA: Oct. 16, 4:30 p.m., 401 Physical Sciences.
