Students gathered on Libe Slope on a sunny May 3 afternoon to celebrate the last day of classes. The annual Slope Day festivities featured SlopeFest, a carnival held on Ho Plaza, and musical performances by hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar, who headlined the event; 5 & A Dime, a DJ and producer from Philadelphia; and hip-hop artist Hoodie Allen.

SlopeFest boasted an array of carnival games, activities and food, as well as the annual Slope Day Stroll Competition, a contest of group dance stepping or “party walking” hosted by members of the Multicultural Greek Letter Council.

Hundreds of student, faculty and staff volunteers handed out water and managed carnival booths and games.
