CARE Fund online auction begins Nov. 1
By Nancy Doolittle
Interested in a Mickey Mouse glass figurine? A handmade quilt? Tickets to the Kitchen Theatre or Ithaca College theater, a Burns Sisters concert, Cornell men’s basketball or women’s hockey? Gift certificates to The Cornell Store, Aladdin’s, Taverna Banfi or a local restaurant? Or a silk scarf, jewelry, canvas painting or knitted hat?
About 150 such items have been donated to the annual online auction to support the Emergency CARE Fund (Cornellians Aiding and Responding to Employees), and they are now posted online for preview.
The site will be open for online auction bidding Nov. 1-3. All money raised will go directly to the Emergency CARE Fund to provide confidential financial assistance to Cornell faculty and staff who have experienced a nonrecurring emergency-related financial hardship.
Email Michelle Eastman or Andrea Rutherford with questions or to donate.
