Johnson’s Lewis H. Durland Memorial Lecture was established in 1983 by Roy H. Park and other supporters to bring prominent business speakers to Cornell. It honors Lew Durland ’30, treasurer emeritus of Cornell, who served as the university’s chief financial officer for more than 25 years. Previous lecturers include Peter H. Coors ’69, chairman of the board at Molson Coors Brewing Co., and Michael B. Polk ’82, CEO of Newell Rubbermaid.
