Protect your personal data, receive your W-2 electronically
All Cornell employees who have not already done so can opt in to receive an electronic 2018 W-2 form for 2019 by Jan. 4, 2019.
By opting in to electronic delivery, you can print a PDF of your W-2 as soon as it is available and as many times as needed. Electronic access eliminates the risk of a stolen or lost W-2, reduces the risk of identity theft, lessens environmental impact, saves postage and allows you early access.
To opt in for an electronic copy of your W-2 and suppress mailing of your paper W-2:
- Log in to Workday at http://workday.cornell.edu.
- On the Workday home page, click the Pay icon.
- Scroll down the right-hand column and under Job Aids, click “How do I opt in for an electronic W-2?” A PDF document with instructions will download.
The election to opt in to receive an electronic W-2 will remain in effect until you change it.
If you have chosen not to opt in for an electronic copy of your 2018 W-2, review and update your mailing address no later than Jan. 4, 2019. Faculty and staff: Use Workday. Students: Use Student Essentials to change your mailing address.
