Leaders from the labor and climate movements, including policymakers, scientists, academics and activists, will discuss America’s historic opportunity to build a worker-centered clean energy economy.
The summit is sponsored by ILR’s Worker Institute, ILR’s Lois Gray Labor Innovation Initiative Climate Jobs National Resource Center, the Climate Job National Resource Center Action Fund, Climate Jobs New York and the Climate Jobs New York Education Fund.
AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten ’80 and Worker Institute Leading on Climate Change Initiative Director Lara Skinner are among those on the agenda, which can be found here.
The Climate Jobs National Resource Center is a national non-profit organization that supports and coordinates a network of union-led climate jobs coalitions united around a shared goal of combating climate change while reversing income inequality.
The Worker Institute engages in research and education on contemporary labor issues, to generate innovative thinking and solutions to problems related to work, economy and society.
