Alumna’s company creates food for healthy hounds

The 23rd episode of a podcast hosted by Entrepreneurship at Cornell, Startup Cornell, features Kim Hehir ’94, cofounder and president of Brutus Broth, a family-run business created from a passion and commitment to enhance canine diets.

Kim talks about her journey to founding Brutus Broth with her sister, after starting her career in the hospitality industry, and also shares how they navigated the complicated pet food and supplement marketplace.

The Startup Cornell podcast, which launched in summer 2021, features interviews with Cornell entrepreneurs, who tell their stories of successes and failures and offer actionable advice for building and growing a business. It’s available on the Entrepreneurship at Cornell website, as well as Apple podcasts, Spotify and Soundcloud. It’s being created with help from Bert Odom-Reed of the Cornell Broadcast Studios and edited by Abigail Younger.
