Vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth featured on concert series
Roomful of Teeth will perform in the final Cornell Concert Series (CCS) production of the 2024-25 season on Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Bailey Hall.
Roomful of Teeth is a Grammy Award-winning vocal band dedicated to re-imagining the expressive potential of the human voice. By engaging collaboratively with artists, thinkers, and community leaders from around the world, the group seeks to uplift and amplify voices old and new while creating and performing meaningful and adventurous music using a continuously expanding vocabulary of singing techniques.
In addition to the concert, Roomful of Teeth will present a multimedia session with audio and video as part of the Midday Music in Lincoln series on Thursday, April 24 at 12:30 p.m. Members of Roomful of Teeth will present various works that have been written for the ensemble, through the lens of forging new repertoire: working intimately with composers, master technicians in extended technique, and one another to accomplish extraordinary vocal feats. The Midday Music event is free and open to the public.
