Big challenges, shared solutions

Behind many everyday IT challenges are communities of colleagues working together to find better solutions. Recent discussions in Cornell's Service Management Special Interest Group (SIG) explored knowledge management, or how to make information easier to find, maintain, and share across teams. The conversation is one example of how Cornell's SIGs bring people together to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and tackle common challenges that extend beyond any single department or unit.

Interest in SIGs continues to grow as more IT staff discover the value of connecting with peers who face similar issues. Whether the topic is cybersecurity, AI, collaboration tools, audiovisual technology, or service management, SIGs provide opportunities to learn practical approaches, build professional networks, and contribute to conversations that can improve services across Cornell. As recent events have shown, people may come for the topic, but they return for the connections, insights, and shared problem-solving.
