James Dean is a senior staff writer at the Cornell Chronicle, covering social sciences; law and public policy; Cornell’s military community; and architecture and planning.
I write about the latest social sciences research, innovative architecture, community collaborations, the university’s military community and, when the opportunity arises, world-class jugglers. I joined Cornell after 16 years as a reporter for a daily newspaper in Florida, where I covered crime, local government and the space program. With roots “downstate,” I appreciate supporting Cornell’s land-grant mission to improve lives across New York state.
