Events this week include Cornell Orchards' Apple Spectacular, a student-made film reflecting on service in Thailand; the Cornell Orchestras playing jazz with special guests; MFA students reading poetry and fiction; and lectures on law and technology, global child welfare and the Middle East.
On Sept. 27, a forum in downtown Ithaca with Cornell faculty, staff, and partners offered stories of experiences and answered questions about implementing community-engaged initiatives.
“What Makes Us Human,” a new podcast and essay series from the College of Arts and Sciences, will showcase the newest thinking about what it means to be human in the 21st century.
Events this week include faculty authors discussing careers and new ways of giving, a panel on world development, guest filmmakers showing their work, and a song cycle based on female characters in Greek tragedy.
The Cornell Council for the Arts is supporting 35 projects in the arts on campus during academic year 2017-18 through its Individual Grant Program. Cornell faculty, departments and programs were awarded 15 grants of $2,500 each and students and student organizations received 20 grants of $1,000 each.
