Cornell musicians offer a weekend of music in the city

Cornell musicians will toot their horns and other instruments in early June for a weekend of music in New York City.

The Cornell Jazz Ensemble will celebrate the 100th birthday of American jazz musician, clarinetist and band leader Benny Goodman at The New York Public Library of Performing Arts (at Lincoln Center) June 8. For more information: http://www.nypl.org/research/calendar/prog/lpa/pseries.cfm?id=374.

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and Cornell Professor Steven Stucky will introduce New York Philharmonic audiences to the composers and performers behind the music during three nights of Bach, Haydn, Copland and Bolero at Avery Fisher Hall June 4, 6 and 9.
