NYC symposium to review latest cancer research advances
A symposium with some of the world's top cancer researchers to discuss the latest advances in science and treatment will take place Nov. 8 at the New York Academy of Medicine in New York City, 1215 Fifth Ave. (at 103rd Street).
The event, "Understanding Cancer: Genomes to Devices," is sponsored by the Cornell Center on the Microenvironment and Metastasis, which is at the leading edge of research unraveling the complex nature of cancer.
The symposium will explore recent work from several National Cancer Institute-funded Physical Science Oncology Centers across the country. The centers explore the physical laws and principles that govern the emergence and behavior of cancer to support development of clinical advances.
