Cornell is the highest-ranking university in the 12th annual list of 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces, the Dave Thompson Foundation for Adoption announced Oct. 3.
Carl Moravec and Mariann Carpenter led CIT staff in years of service at a town hall meeting Sept. 13, having been with Cornell for 49 and 48 years, respectively. Another 13 CIT staffers celebrated a fifth-year anniversary of 25 or more years of service.
Cornell President Martha E. Pollack will deliver the annual President’s Address to Staff Oct. 9, noon-1 p.m., in the Rhodes-Rawlings Auditorium, Klarman Hall.
The 2018 Cornell Council for the Arts Biennial, with 18 project installations and performances on the theme “Duration: Passage, Persistence, Survival," launched Sept. 28-29 with a tour of outdoor projects on campus, artist panels with Cornell contributors and lectures by featured artists Carrie Mae Weems and Xu Bing.
Students in the Milstein Program in Technology and Humanity were treated to a special Q&A session Sept. 26 with Chinese artist and A.D. White Professor-at-Large Xu Bing.
