Since retiring from her work as stacks manager at the Cornell Law Library in 2014, Robert has taken full advantage of a benefit awarded to Cornell retirees: Part-time Study, offered by the School of Continuing Education(SCE).
Part-time Study allows Cornell retirees to take up to six credits at Cornell every semester with permission from the instructor, for free.

Charles W. Jermy Jr. was honored with the title of Senior Associate Dean of the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions Emeritus in April for his extraordinary service to Cornell. His proposal for an online bachelor’s degree for nontraditional students has been taken up by the University and SCE’s new dean, Mary Loeffelholz. Jermy retired in February after 50 years with SCE.
This summer, students can explore business management in the center of global business by taking The Business World in New York City, offered by Cornell’s School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions. This popular three-credit foundation course runs May 30 through June 16, 2023, on the Cornell University ILR NYC Campus on Lexington Avenue.
Prelaw in New York City features a four-credit course, "Introduction to the American Legal System," taught using the Socratic method used at most U.S. law schools and some selective internships.
