Dunning is a freshman in the College of Engineering with interests in chemical and civil engineering. Cong is a junior double majoring in engineering physics and computer science. He is currently working on robotic arm manipulation research in the Robot Learning Lab.
Chosen from more than 800 applicants, the 135 winners receive money toward college tuition for the 2010-11 academic year. Eligible students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and show financial need.
The program has provided nearly $2 million in support of 2,000 students since it began in 1987.
