Cornell’s first Web Accessibility Camp for web content contributors, designers and developers will be Aug. 6-8 in Ives Hall and the ILR Conference Center. Throughout these three days, hands-on sessions will cover important accessibility-related topics and provide useful tools, techniques and resources to help create accessibility-friendly sites or improve site accessibility.
WebAIM, a nonprofit web accessibility solution provider, will host two sessions Aug. 6: a web accessibility training for content contributors, important for anyone who writes text for websites or updates content on websites, and a session focusing on web accessibility information and tips for designers and developers.
Cornell will follow with two days of free sessions, Aug. 7 and 8, including how to remediate PDFs; information on Siteimprove, a program that evaluates the accessibility of websites and indicates how to improve them; testing and correcting color contrast; and captioning videos.
More information, including how to register, can be found at Cornell Web Accessibility Camp.
