Got boogie fever? Milk Mustache Mobile dances back to Cornell campus July 28

Get milk and get in the groove.

As part of the 2004 Shake Stuff Up Tour, the Milk Mustache Mobile rolls onto the Cornell University campus Wednesday, July 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. It will be at the Cornell Dairy Store, at the corner of Tower and Judd Falls roads.

The tour of 100 cities, sponsored by Milk Pep (a dairy processors' marketing group), is helping publicize the healthful benefits of calcium in milk to children, teens and young adults.

Beyond health, the Milk Mustache Mobile promises fun: Visitors can have their picture taken wearing a milk mustache and even land on the pages of Rolling Stone magazine. The Ithaca winner will appear online and become a national finalist for an advertisement in Rolling Stone .

Great dancers and hoofers with two left feet alike will have a chance to test their hip-hop and disco abilities to the beat of an arcade-style dance machine. Participants will be able to enter the 2005 MTV Summer Beach House sweepstakes.

The tour continues with the Battle of the Bands competition Thursday evening, July 29, at Pyramid Mall on Triphammer Road, from 5 to 9 p.m. Local bands Stick Shift Rock and Nonetheless will compete to win time in a professional music studio. Byrne Dairy, Meadow Brook Farm and Cornell will provide the free milk at the Battle of the Bands.
