Second annual celebration to highlight Cornell's campuswide entrepreneurship efforts, April 19-20

To celebrate Cornell's entrepreneurial spirit across campus, the second annual universitywide Entrepreneurship@Cornell Celebration, April 19-20, will feature symposiums, an expo highlighting Cornell technology and panel discussions for students, faculty, staff and alumni. Among its highlights:

Thursday, April 19:

Friday, April 20:

This year's celebration, say organizers, highlights Cornell's coordinated efforts to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among a wide range of Cornell constituents in a campuswide approach that includes educational programs and alumni outreach.

"Like Forrest [Gump] told us, life is like a box of chocolates," says Deborah Streeter, professor of applied economics and management. "And at the Entrepreneurship@Cornell celebration, our students, faculty, staff and alums can pick and choose from a great assortment of satisfying offerings on entrepreneurship -- from business in the life sciences to family business to student-run businesses to venture-backed enterprise to sustainability and environmental entrepreneurship. The event is a great example of what happens when we break down the artificial barriers that keep us in our academic 'silos.'"
