Hospitality research compendium available free online

The Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) has issued its 2010 Cornell Hospitality Compendium, which is available for free download at the CHR Web site.

The compendium presents summaries of all 2009 CHR publications, including Cornell Hospitality Reports, Cornell Hospitality Tools and Cornell Hospitality Roundtable Proceedings, along with summaries of articles published in the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly in 2009 by the faculty of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.

"The compendium is a useful document for managers in the hospitality industry and related industries, because it contains so much potentially valuable information," said Rohit Verma, professor of hotel administration and CHR executive director.

The compendium's summaries are linked to the original research reports and tools, which CHR Web users can download at no charge. Cornell Hospitality Quarterly articles are available for a small fee through Sage Publishing.

Reports and tools presented in the 2010 compendium cover a wide variety of topics, including new categories for innovation and spas. In addition to reports on hotel and restaurant management, CHR researchers address communication, finance and human resources. Also included is the first in a series of reports profiling innovative service concepts in the hospitality industry and beyond.
