Employee Celebration tickets on sale for Oct. 16 event

The 36th Annual Fall Employee Celebration, slated for Oct. 16, will feature a community dinner, 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Barton Hall, Big Red vs. Colgate football game, women's ice hockey vs. Mississauga, men's and women's soccer vs. Yale and more.

Tickets for the event are on sale through Oct. 8; the $5 ticket for faculty, staff, retirees and their families includes dinner (chicken barbecue and vegetarian pasta with grilled vegetables marinara) and admission to the athletic events. Tickets can be purchased in person or by calling the Athletic Department Ticket Office in Bartels Hall, 255-4247.

Volunteers are needed to help with setup, serving or cleanup; they will receive a complimentary meal ticket and an event T-shirt.

Cornell departments and programs can sign up to present a display at the Cornell Community Fair, also in Barton Hall. Displays should be fun, interactive and interesting for all ages. Contact Cheryl McGraw, e-mail crm54@cornell.edu, if interested in volunteering or having a display.
