Body Positive Cornell groups for staff and faculty begin Sept. 18

Body Positive Cornell (BPC) is a peer-led program that helps participants foster a positive relationship with their health and their bodies, through discussion and activities in weekly small-group sessions. BPC promotes holistic wellness practices that increase physical, mental and emotional health, using a weight-neutral, self-empowerment model.

BPC groups for staff and faculty will begin Sept. 18 and will be held for eight consecutive Tuesdays, from noon to 1 p.m., in a central campus location that will be sent to registrants.

More information about BPC can be found on its web page; to register, complete the registration form by Sept. 14. In addition to groups for staff and faculty, there are groups for students; interested students can register using the same form.

BPC is supported by staff from the Cornell Healthy Eating Program and the Skorton Center for Health Initiatives at Cornell Health, and is conducted in collaboration with Cornell Athletics, Cornell Fitness Centers, Cornell Minds Matter, Cornell Panhellenic Association and Cornell Wellness.
