For her heroic efforts to get students enrolled virtually during the fall 2020 pandemic semester – and after 26 1/2 years at Cornell – Lisa M. Clark, the inaugural deputy university registrar in the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), has won the 2022 George Peter Award for Dedicated Service.
The awards are based on nominations from students, faculty and staff, and the recommendations of a selection committee. The recognition comes with a $15,000 prize to be used for research, scholarship and other activities at Cornell.

Ray Jayawardhana, the Harold Tanner Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has been appointed to a second five-year term, beginning July 1, 2023, and named the Hans A. Bethe Professor, an appointment that begins July 1, 2022.
